GEF is organising, with the support of the Fondazione Alexander Langer Stiftung (FALS), a meeting of the International Ecology Archives Network (IEAN) in Bolzano, Italy (June 6th and 7th). The meeting will be a chance for Green archives to share experiences, and to highlight particular projects such as FALS’ “Adopt Srebrenica”.
The IEAN was founded in 2011 to foster archive activities within the Green movement, preserve the memory of these movements and to promote and support the research on existing archive collections.
This meeting will offer an invaluable experience for member organisations to share expertise, discuss their projects and identify grounds for cooperation. Topics on the agenda include the future development of the IEAN and a discussion about the social relevance of an archive/documentation centre for the reconstruction and visualisation of the cultural, political, ecological and social past in Srebrenica.
